The fog cleared and I found myself sitting above Spain

Misty French Pyrenees mountain - Soum de Matte. At the beginning of the hike, I thought the rest of the day would be mist and cold. But for the big surprise at the top, it was so warm and sunny.

Everything started early in the morning.

Misty morning

When you want to take the shortcut, you gotta do it.

Did it save time? Yes.

Did it save energy? Depends.

Was it fun? Yes.

Misty trail in the French Pyrenees

Watch showing elevation during the hike

The more you go up, the cleaner day it becomes

Wind turbines visible as fog clears

Clouds below the mountain ridge

It was super calm and warm

Clear blue sky above the clouds

At the top, there were some stone towers

Stone tower with blue sky

Standing at stone tower at summit

I remember thinking that this was one of the coolest views while doing hikes.

Sitting at summit above the clouds

Looking out at sea of clouds

In front of me, it was Spain Pyrenees. So wild. So peaceful.
