I wanted to hike and see a lake from the top and here it was - Monte Sperone.
A warm summer day in Italy and I was sweating a lot on this steep route to the top.

The forest trail that tested me
The path to the top was through the forest. Started the hike on the very left in the forest, and the humidity combined with the steep incline had me drenched in sweat from the start.

The last 25% were the most beautiful with spectacular views. Yeah, it was scary to walk on the cliffside, the height was pretty high.
Never look down… of course, easy to say.
Reaching the summit
The top is always magnificent. Same as in Austria, at the top, there are always crosses.
Looking at Lago del Mis from the peak - the plan was achieved: top of the mountain with a lake view.

The journey back down
Shortly after reaching the top, we were heading back to the forest. Thinking again, I have to look down and use a relatively dangerous path.
A short way back and a smile on my face (which you cannot see obviously).
